Last month my tip was about the 4 Common Mistakes that Realtors, Buyers, & Sellers make. Several Insurance Agents & Mortgage Professionals contacted me with their insight, so I’m adding this 5th Common Mistake…

5.) Neglecting to order all of the inspections needed to close.

For Insurance ~ 

  • If the house is over 20 years old, you’ll likely need a 4 Point Insurance Inspection.
  • If the house was built before 2002 you’ll likely need a Wind Mitigation Inspection.

For The Lender ~

(Especially VA, or FHA)

  • If the water going in = well water, you’ll likely need a Water Quality Inspection.
  • If the water going out = Septic, you’ll likely need a Septic Inspection.
