Coronavirus (COVID-19) & Home Inspections.

For Immediate Release: Coronavirus (COVID-19) & Home Inspections.

Florida March 19, 2020 – Sherlock Home Inspections is not only following, but exceeding guidelines from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as recommended from both the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) & the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) to prevent catching or spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19).

First, Home Inspectors who are experiencing ANY symptoms of illness &/or have traveled outside the state recently, are not conducting Home Inspections.

We have suspended all Apprenticeship programs and training of new Home Inspectors.

Each inspection will be conducted by ONE Licensed Professional Home Inspector to minimize human interaction.

Sellers, Buyers, & Realtors absolutely may accompany the Home Inspector during the inspection. However, we ask that anyone experiencing ANY symptoms of illness &/or have traveled outside the state recently PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND. Furthermore, it is not a requirement for anyone but the Home Inspector to be present for the Home Inspection. We are fully licensed and insured. We can let ourselves in & lock up when we’re done. Our inspection report is very thorough and easy to read, includes photos, etc. AND we don’t consider a job to be complete until all of your questions are answered.

Finally, when applicable, we will utilize latex, nitrile or other gloves, shoe covers, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, face masks, etc.
