Store appliance cords – use empty toilet paper rolls, they keeps the wires neat and you can write on the roll what appliance it belongs to.

Remove old wax from a glass candle holder – put it in the freezer for a few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside down The Wax will fall out.

Remove crayon marks from walls – use a damp rag, dipped in baking soda. Remove permanent marker from appliances/counter tops – rubbing alcohol on paper towel.

Stop wasting S.O.S. Pads – cut each pad in half. No more pre-mature rusting & scissors get sharpened too.

Remove blood stains – hydrogen peroxide on a cloth and wipe.

Remove window streaks – use vertical strokes outside and horizontal inside, so you can tell which side has the streaks. Straight vinegar will get outside windows really clean. Don’t wash windows on a sunny day, they will dry too quickly (and streak).

Air freshener alternative – spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb to create a lovely light scent when the light is turned on.

Clean mirrors – use air-freshener. It does a good job AND leaves a lovely smell.

Remove a splinter – try scotch tape before resorting to tweezers. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and pull it off.
